Procurement & Vendor Review

The practical questions a procurement or vendor-review contact needs answered before a strategy call — including where a solo advisory practice honestly has less to show than a larger vendor would.

Gambill Data LLC is a solo-founder consulting and advisory practice led by Chris Gambill, based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Engagements are handled on a limited, per-project or per-retainer basis, and data collection and system access are kept intentionally narrow.

If you're reviewing us as a vendor, this page is meant to answer the practical questions before a strategy call — honestly, including the places a larger vendor would have more to show than we do.

Business information

Legal entity: Gambill Data LLC
Primary contact: Chris Gambill, Founder
Location: Knoxville, TN, USA
Business model: Independent consulting and advisory services

Engagement model

Engagements are scoped per client, on a fixed-price or retainer basis:

  • Fixed-price audits and blueprints, typically in the $12,000–$15,000 range
  • An ongoing Architecture Advisory Retainer, currently $2,500/month

Commercial terms are documented per engagement — a statement of work, and a master services agreement where the engagement calls for one. There isn't a single universal template used for every client; the paperwork matches the scope of the work.

Systems and data access

Most audit and blueprint work is assessment-based and does not require production system access.

Typical access profile:

  • No production implementation by default
  • No broad systems access by default
  • No standing administrative access by default

When an engagement does call for deeper access — some platform-specific reviews may — that's scoped and agreed to in advance, not assumed.

How client data is handled

What's actually collected through the site: name, work email, and a message, submitted through the consultation-request form. That's used to review and respond to the inquiry, and to schedule a conversation if it's a fit.

Other systems involved, each governed by its own privacy policy where applicable:

  • Netlify Forms for consultation-request submissions
  • Plausible Analytics for cookie-free site analytics — no personal data used for tracking
  • Calendly for scheduling
  • Stripe for coaching-product payments — Gambill Data never receives or stores card data directly

Full detail lives in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, both linked sitewide.

Subcontractors and staffing

Gambill Data LLC is a solo practice: no subcontractors, no offshore delivery team, no shared bench of consultants used by default. If an outside specialist were ever needed for a specific engagement, that would be disclosed and agreed to in advance — not assumed into scope.

Procurement documents

Available on request, as applicable to the engagement: a W-9, insurance information, a signed engagement agreement, and any additional vendor-intake detail your process requires. Send your vendor packet and we'll confirm what applies to the current engagement.

Security and compliance position — stated plainly

This is a solo advisory practice, not an enterprise software vendor with a formal security program, and this page won't imply otherwise. To be explicit about what's not yet in place:

  • No SOC 2 report or ISO certification
  • No formal security-certification program
  • No dedicated legal or compliance function
  • No standard DPA template, vendor security-questionnaire portal, or subprocessor list
  • No penetration-test reports or formal business-continuity/disaster-recovery packet

The standard here is accuracy and minimal data exposure, not compliance theater. If your procurement process requires any of the above as a hard gate, it's worth knowing that before a strategy call rather than after.
